Mumbai Indians became the third team to qualify for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 playoffs after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad in Super Over on Thursday night. Mumbai Indians now have 16 points and sit second in the IPL 2019 Points Table, level on points with Delhi Capitals but with a superior NRR.
With Royal Challengers Bangalore already out of the contention, Sunrisers Hyderabad will vie for the final playoff berth with Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals.
At the top of the table Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals will look to finish in the top two spots and enter qualifier 1.
In IPL, the top two teams after group stage play the first qualifier while the third and fourth placed teams play the eliminator. The loser of the eliminator crashed out while the winner meets the loser of qualifier 1 in the second qualifier. The winner of qualifier 1 makes it to the final directly and awaits the winner of qualifier 2 for the title clash.
