Mumbai Indians have made 3 out of 3 wins against Chennai Super Kings and will be eyeing their final win to be crowned as the champion.

Mumbai Indians are back again in the finals and this time they are facing arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings. The IPL El Clasico will take place on 12 May in Hyderabad.

Mumbai have made it 3 out of 3 wins against Chennai and will be eyeing their final win as well to be crowned as the champion.

This year will, however, will be special as both Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have won three IPL's each and this year's winner will decide which captain becomes the skipper with most wins.

CSK posted 168/5 batting first. Sachin Tendulkar's 48 could not help Mumbai as they lost by 22-runs.

West Indies powerhouse Kieron Pollard (60) single-handedly took MI to 148/9 after compatriot Dwayne Bravo had rocked the Mumbai innings with 4 wickets.

Still, MI survived the late onslaught from MS Dhoni (63*) to win by 23 runs - almost an identical margin as 2010 final.

Rohit Sharma's 50 off 26 balls helped Mumbai post a huge total of 202/5.

The target proved too much for Dhoni's men as they were able to muster only 161/8 with Mitchell McClenaghan (3/25) being the chief destroyer.

Mumbai won by 41 runs.

MI posted just 129/8 against Rising Pune Supergiant (the team which was formed when CSK was banned for 2 years).

The team boasted the likes of Dhoni and Steven Smith.

However, Mumbai's tight bowling especially Krunal Pandya - who had earlier scored a crucial 47 runs - were able to win by just 1 run.
