IPL 2019 Auction: 10 uncapped Indian cricketers who could get big money bids in 2019 IPL Player Auction

These 10 Indian uncapped players could be in high demand in IPL Player Auction 2019.

2019 IPL Player Auction: The 2019 IPL Player Auction will take place in Jaipur on the December 18, 2018. While 346 are going under the hammer, 228 of these are uncapped players. 201 Indian cricketers are registered for IPL 2019 Auction.

While the focus on big names like Yuvraj Singh or Brendon McCullum, some new stars may emerge from the uncapped section. There have been some unheard of players who have went for big money bids in previous IPL auctions. 

IPL has tendency to unearth new talent and stars every season. Let's take a look at some Indian uncapped Indian players to watch out for in 2019 IPL Player Auction.

1. Shivam Dube

Shivam Dube (Base Price: Rs 20 Lakh)

He could be the story of the 2019 IPL Auction. Dube came to limelight after Sunil Gavaskar picked him out for special praise in his column. Gavaskar termed Dube the cleanest hitting left-hander in India since Yuvraj Singh. Dube is a hard-hitting medium pace all-rounder. In his debut season for Mumbai in 2017, Dube had scored 454 runs and bagged 21 wickets, including two tons and two five-wicket hauls. This year so far he has added 377 runs and taken 16 wickets.

2. Anmolpreet Singh

Anmolpreet Singh (Base Price: Rs 20 Lakh)

The 20-year-old Punjab batsmen has been performed in Ranji Trophy and more importantly Vijay Hazare Trophy. The hard-hitting right-hander scored 314 runs in three games at an average of 141 in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 with strike rate over 100. Anmolpreet was promoted to India A side recently and opened the batting with an impressive 71 against New Zealand A.

3. Shams Mulani

Shams Mulani (Base Price: Rs 20 Lakh)

Shams Mulani took 17 wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 for Mumbai. The left-arm orthodox spinner is also very economical. Mulani can bowl in first six overs as well which is something IPL teams love. Mulani was also awarded a place in the India Emerging team for the Emerging Teams' Asia Cup 2018 where picked two wickets with an economy rate of under 4.5. At the base price of Rs 20 Lakh, he could be a great addition to any team.

4. Ishan Porel

Ishan Porel (Base Price: Rs 20 Lakh)

Ishan Porel was one of the stars of U19 team that won the World Cup in 2018. Porel has since became a consistent performer for Bengal and was also the second highest wicket-taker for them in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 with 10 wickets. He also leads the bowling charts for Bengal in the ongoing Ranji Trophy with 13 wickets in five games.

5. Ayush Badoni

Delhi star Ayush Badoni impressed everyone with his batting in the U19 Asi Cup. A product of Delhi's famous Sonnet Club, his technique against spinners was impressive and like his 'senior' Rishabh Pant, he loves the slog hit over cow corner. He scored 199 runs at U-19 Asia Cup and picked up two wickets too.

6. Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan (Base Price: Rs 20 Lakh)

Unlike most others in the list, Sarfaraz Khan is already an IPL veteran. He has played for Royal Challengers Bangalore since 2015 IPL auction. However, he was released by the franchise this year. He is known for his attacking batting playing unorthodox shots all-around the park. While he didn't have a good IPL 2018, he may repeat his early success at some other team.

7. Jalaj Saxena

Jalaj Saxena (Base Price: Rs 20 Lakh)

Jalaj Saxena is one of the most consistent all-rounders in domestic circuit. At 31 years, Jalaj is not like the other youngsters in this list. This Madhya Pradesh-born cricketer is representing Kerala in Ranji Trophy this year. He has already scored two centuries and picked an 8-wicket haul in the ongoing season of the Ranji Trophy. Saxena was picked by Mumbai Indians in 2013 but didn’t get a chance to play. IPL 2019 could change that.

8. Rohit Rayudu

Rohit Rayudu, cousin of Team India cricketer Ambati, has been impressive this season. He hit a century in the Ranji Trophy match against Delhi. He then followed it up with two hundreds in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Trophy.

9. Varun Chakravarthy

Chakravarthy’s rise in the Indian domestic cricket has been meteoric. The mystery spinner from Tamil Nadu could spark a bidding war for his services following impressive performances in the TNPL and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. IN TNPL, he recorded an unbelievable economy rate of 4.7 from 10 T20 matches. He has already taken 22 wickets Tamil Nadu in limited-overs cricket in nine matches.

The last name on this list and the IPL 2019 Player Auction list as well- Harsh Tyagi was India's second most successful bowler at U-19 Asia Cup with 14 wickets. The left-arm spinner was also the star of the final win with 6 wickets for just 38 runs.
