When Kings XI Punjab bought Aaron Finch for Rs 6.2 crores in the IPL 2018 player auction- it looked like a very good buy. However, he ended up with just 134 runs in the tournament. Finch missed the first game because of his wedding and was used in the KXIP middle order. But he failed to set IPL 2018 on fire. (AFP)

Glenn Maxwell was supposed be the rock upon which Delhi Daredevils' new team was going to be built. However, the Australian disappointed in a big way. He played in almost every match and failed in almost everyone. With just 169 runs and 5 wickets in IPL 2018, he didn't justify his Rs 9 crore price tag. (AFP)

Ben Stokes scored 196 runs and took 8 wickets- not the performance one would expect from the costliest player of the IPL 2018 players auction. Stokes deserved the price tag for his performance at Pune in 2017, but could not replicate the same with Rajasthan Royals. (AFP)

Manish Pandey has not been total failure this year, but his 284 runs this season have not justified his Rs 11 crores price tag too. Sunrisers Hyderabad have done well to make it too the final but all have lost some matches because of their middle order - and that where Pandey was supposed to shine. (AFP)
