England bounced back after a loss in the first ODI as they ripped apart the Indian bowling attack and chased down the 337-run target with staggering 39 balls to spare. India, on the back of KL Rahul's fifth ODI century and wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant's counterattacking knock of 77 runs off just 40 balls, scored 336 runs in their 50 overs.

However, there are very few instances when a 330-plus target looks 100 runs short, that was the impact of batting the England batsmen did. Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes just destroyed Indian bowlers as they had no chance, it was such clean and chanceless hitting. In the end, England won the game by six wickets and levelled the series 2-1.

The match was not without some records getting broken and created. Here are some of the incredible numbers from the 2nd ODI between India and England in Pune:

The Indian skipper crossed the 10,000-mark playing just his 190th innings. The third batsman on the list is former Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara, who scored 9,747 runs from 238 innings, followed by South Africa's Jacques Kallis (7,774).

It was the 34th time that a batsman got out on 99 in ODIs and the previous fastest 99 was by AB de Villiers in the 2015 Cricket World Cup against the UAE in 82 balls. Stokes' came in 30 balls less, in just 52 balls, owing to 10 humongous sixes and four fours.
