Same as what happened against Australia, happened against Bangladesh. Runs at the top, shaky middle-order, and Poonam Yadav spins with the help of Shikha Pandey.

India notch up their second straight win of the tournament as they defeat Bangladesh by 18 runs.

Put in to bat first, India scored the highest total of the tournament so far and Bangladesh did have some bright phases, however, could not convert.

Khatun offered a spark and Nigar was turning it into a flame but Poonam squashed any hope Bangladesh had.

Bangladesh: 124/8 (20 overs)

India: 142/6 (20 overs)

Stumped!

Bhatia ventured out far too early and missed the poke. That's through to the 'keeper past the bat and Bhatia could not return to the crease. Sultana whips off the bails!

An entertaining inning of Shafali Verma comes to an end.

She tries smoking another one straight down the ground, however, its too high and Sultana gets under a catch, takes it on the third attempt!

Jemimah Rodrigues run-out for 34
5/12

Jemimah is run out after a brilliant piece of work.

Jemimah wanted the run after cracking the full toss away, but was sent back once Deepti saw Nahida make the save.

Nahida followed up the effort with a very accurate throw and the dive wasn't enough to save Jemimah.

Rodrigues run out (Nahida Akter/Nigar Sultana) 34(37) [4s-2 6s-1]

6. 2 wickets in one over, Bangladesh restricting India

First Richa Ghosh and soon Deepti Sharma, both depart in an over.

For Richa Ghosh, not a bad connection on the slog-sweep but it's not wide enough to beat Nahida at long-on.

Not powerful enough to go for six either.

Richa Ghosh c Nahida Akter b Salma Khatun 14(14) [4s-2]

As for Deepti Sharma, this run-out won't be forgotten as both batswomen on the same side of the crease. Deepti and Veda eventually compete for survival.

Deepti dived, but it's not enough. Veda's got home first.

Deepti Sharma run out (Fargana Hoque/Nigar Sultana) 11(16)

7. Shamima Sultana departs for 3

Shikha Pandey strikes early.

A cross-seamer outside off, holds on the surface, an expansive drive over cover attempted, and she's handed a straightforward catch to the Deepti at cover.

8. Murshida Khatun goes for 30

Murshida Khatun tries carving this over extra cover, and slices it towards the sky; mid-off judges this to perfection as Richa Ghosh takes it.

First Sanjida Islam and then Fargana Hoque. Bangladesh loses 2 wickets.

After a lot of thinking, the DRS is taken and after checking, India are spot on. There's a spike on the bottom edge.

Brilliant review and Poonam Yadav's wicket-taking form continues.

Sanjida Islam c Bhatia b Poonam Yadav 10(17)

As for the next wicket, India are convinced in appeal and they persuaded the umpire to raise that finger.

Length ball just outside off, Fargana thrust her hands at it looking to defend but it clipped the bat shoulder while going through to Bhatia.

10. Bangladesh lose 2 wickets again

Bangladesh lose 2 wickets again
10/12

First Poonam Yadav strikes again and sends Fahima Khatun back.

It's the slow, loopy leg-break from Poonam Yadav that works the charm again. Fahima Khatun couldn't hold back her shot long enough.

Her bottom hand came off on the sweep, resulting in a bottom-handed miscue to square leg.

Fahima Khatun c Shafali Verma b Poonam Yadav 17(13) [4s-2]

In the second, Gayakwad sends Nigar Sultana back.

Can't keep the sweep down and can't get it over square leg either. Reddy swoops across to the right and plucks off a nice, low catch.

Nigar Sultana c Arundhati Reddy b Gayakwad 35(26) [4s-5]

Poonam Yadav and Taniya Bhatia makes sure to send Jahanara Alam back.

Jahanara comes down charging, looking to hit it hard but this slow, cunning leg-break dips through her. Miles out. Easy stumping.
