1.Perth Test Day 4: Action begins

2.Aaron Finch cleared to bat
There some good news for Australia before the start of the play. It has been confirmed that Aaron Finch, who suffered an injury on Sunday, will able to bat again in this innings.

3.Australia make slow but steady start
As expected it has been painfully slow progress in the morning session so far. There have some balls that went past the edge and Indian bowlers have kept up the pressure. However, they need to make the batsmen play more for success. According to Fox Sports graphic, only four balls for more than 50 bowled today were going to hit the stumps.

4.Australia extend the lead
The partnership has added more than 50 runs now and taken the lead past 210 runs. Both Khawaja and Paine are starting to loosen the shackles of the first half an hour and runs are coming easily now. This is the second time Indian bowlers are having trouble getting a wicket in the morning session. They need a breakthrough and fast.

Australia are 190/4 at lunch extending their lead to 233 runs.

6.Shami gets two wickets in two balls
India have turned the match around after lunch as Shami takes two wickets in two balls- the breakthrough came as Tim Paine got a brute of delivery that rose from the good length area to surprise the Australian skipper. The ball lobs up after hitting Paine hit on the bat and Virat Kohli took an easy catch.

7.Aaron Finch goes for 25
Aaron Finch, injured on Sunday, came back to resume his innings at 25. However, he flicked one down the legside only to get a faint edge on the first ball he faced.

8.Khawaja out, Shami gets 5
Shami got his 5th wicket as he removed the well-set Usman Khawaja. Khawaja gloved it behind to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. It is the second five-wicket haul of the year for Shami. He also becomes the Indian player with most wickets in away Tests in a calendar year.

9.Shami gets career best figures
Jasprit Bumrah removed Cummins to deal Australia another blow. Shami then got Nathan Lyon out for the first time in this Test series as he claimed his career-best figures. His previous best was 5/28.

10.Australia all out for 243
Mitchell Starc and Jose Hazlewood added important 36 runs for the final wicket. Jasprit Bumrah finally removes Starc to end the Australian innings. Australia post 243 runs in their second innings, India need 287 runs win the match.

11.KL Rahul goes for a duck
India lost their first wicket very early- KL Rahul went for a duck- Mitchell Starc got the ball to swing in and Rahul tried to leave. However, he was a bit late as the ball took the inside edge of the bat and crashed on to the stumps.

12.India lose Cheteshwar Pujara
India were soon dealt a bigger blow- Cheteshwar Pujara got out after scoring just 4 runs. He edged a rising delivery from Josh Hazlewood and Tim Paine did the rest. India went for tea at 15/2 with Virat Kohli and Murali Vijay at the crease.

13.Virat Kohli falls to Nathan Lyon
Nathan Lyon got the big wicket of Virat Kohli (17). The Indian captain was driving away from the body and edged a catch to Usman Khawaja at first slip.

14.Virat gone (and hope too)
Virat Kohli's wicket could mean the end of Indian hopes in Perth. The skipper had scored a brilliant century in the first innings and anchored the Indian inning. But, Lyon has once again picked him up in the second innings at a crucial moment.
287 with Kohli was tough, without Kohli it looks impossible.

15.Murali Vijay bolwled by Lyon
Nathan Lyon taken another one. It was a proper off spinner’s wicket. Vijay came forward for the drive to flighted one but the ball hit the rough and took the inside edge to the stumps. India are 55/4 now. Australia are just wickets away from levelling the series.

16.Rahane's resistance ends
Ajinkya Rahane and Hanuma Vihari added 43 runs to offer some resistance. However, Hazlewodd removed Rahane (30) to end any hope. India reached 112/5 at stumps. They need 175 more runs to win with 5 wickets in hand.
