Live Cricket Score, India vs Afghanistan (IND vs AFG): Mohammed Shami's hat-trick was the highlight of a great bowling performance as India beat Afghanistan by 11 runs in their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 encounter in Southampton on Saturday.

Indian new-ball bowlers kept it tight and got their first success in the 7th over as Mohammed Shami bowled Hazratullah Zazai for 10. Gulbadin Naib and Rahmat Shah frustrated the Indian bowlers for 10 overs but Hardik Pandya finally got the breakthrough as he got Naib (27) to slice one to Vijay Shankar.
Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi kept the scorecard ticking as pressure increased on India. Afghanistan completed their 100 in the 27th over. Kohli brough back Jasprit Bumrah who removed Rahmat Shah (36) and Hashmatullah Shahidi (21) in the 29th over to bring India back in the match. Yuzvendra Chahal then bowled Asghar Afghan (8). Hardik Pandya got rid of Najibullah Zadran (21) in the final over of his spell. Yuzvendra Chahal got Rashid Khan stumped in the 46th over.
Mohammad Nabi scored a half-century and kept Afghanistan in the fight. However, Shami got the three final wickets in the final over to become the second Indian player to take a World Cup hat-trick.
Earlier, India reached 224 for 8 in their 50 overs after opting to bat first. India were dealt an early blow as Rohit Sharma (1) was dismissed early by Mujeeb. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli moved the score forward and took India past 50 in the 12th over. However, Mohammad Nabi sent back Rahul (30) in the 15th over. Kohli and Vijay Shankar added 58 runs for the third wicket before Vijay (29) was trapped LBW by Rahmat Shah.
Virat Kohli (67) fell to Mohammad Nabi against the run of play. MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav then constructed a steady but slow partnership. They were expected to make up for it in the final over. However, Dhoni (28) fell to Rashid Khan before he could up the ante. Kedar Jadhav scored 52 as India could reach only 224 for 8 in their 50 overs.

3. KL Rahul out for 30 runs

5. Vijay Shankar falls for 29
