Indian head coach Ravi Shastri turns 58 today (May 27). The veteran all-rounder played for India between 1981 and 1992.
Indian head coach Ravi Shastri turns 58 today (May 27). The veteran all-rounder played for India between 1981 and 1992.
He featured in 80 Tests and 150 ODIs and has scored 3830 runs in the longer format, while 3180 in limited-overs. He also took 151 wickets in Test while 129 in ODI.

Post-retirement, Shastri took up the job as a commentator and covered many ICC and Indian tournaments. He was later named as the team director of India and later became the Indian coach in 2017.
