The 2020 IPL is all set to be played in the UAE from September 19-November 10 and the tournament will run for 53 days. For the first time, the final will be held on a weekday (Tuesday).

With the cash-rich tournament being just a month away, the excitement is increasing amongst fans.

Most of the franchises have made sure set their team after the mini-auction in December last year and teams have some exciting uncapped Indian players.

However, it remains to be seen if all these players would make their debuts in the 13th edition of the IPL and leave their mark in the competition.

A look at the top five exciting Indian players who are likely to feature in the IPL this season.

1. Yashasvi Jaiswal - Rajasthan Royals (RR)

One of the players to watch out for would be Yashasvi Jaiswal who was snapped up by IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals for Rs 2.4 crore.

Jaiswal is the youngest batsman to score a List A double century as he smashed 203 runs off 154 balls while playing for Mumbai against Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The record innings featured 17 fours and 12 sixes.

Jaiswal was also the best batsman in the U-19 World Cup which was played earlier this year. The left-handed batsman was the highest run-getter in the tournament. His also scored a gritty 88 in the final against the Bangladesh U-19 team, but unfortunately, his innings went in vain as Bangladesh lifted the trophy.

2. Ravi Bishnoi - Kings XI Punjab (KXIP)

Ravi Bishnoi, the leading wicket-taker in U19 World Cup will feature for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020.

Bishnoi clinched 17 wickets in just six games, including a 4-wicket haul in the final, which had almost turned the game in India’s favour.

The young lad might get a playing opportunity for Punjab in the absence of Ravichandran Ashwin who was traded to Delhi Capitals (DC) earlier in the season.

Bishnoi, who is a modern-day leg-spinner, doesn’t give the ball a lot of air and bowls more of a flat trajectory and has also got a very subtle googly.

3. Virat Singh - Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Virat Singh was a much-discussed name before the auction given his performances in the Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He scored 335 runs at an average of 83.75, which included a hundred and two fifties in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he scored 343 runs in ten matches including three fifties at an average of 57.16.

The left-handed batsman is a multi-dimensional player and could be an asset for the IPL team. As a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL side, Virat Singh may get the opportunity with the experienced Manish Pandey in the middle order.

4. Ishan Porel - Kings XI Punjab (KXIP)

Ishan Porel impressed franchises in all three formats of the game at the domestic level. The pacer was instrumental in Bengal’s run to the final of the Ranji Trophy.

The 21-year-old was particularly impressive in the semifinal against Karnataka when he picked up seven wickets and overall ended up with 23 wickets in just six matches.

Kings XI Punjab snapped him up at his base price in the IPL auction and the cricketer could rub shoulders with the likes of Mohammed Shami and Sheldon Cottrell.

5. Devdutt Padikkal - Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

Karnataka local - Devdutt Padikkal - will be hopeful of making his debut for RCB in the IPL after coming off a dream domestic debut season. Padikkal was the top scorer in both the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He scored 609 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in just 11 games, scoring two centuries compiled at an average of 67.66. He followed it up by amassing 456 runs in ten innings with an average of 57 and a surreal strike rate of 171 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.

His batting style is often compared to that of India's 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh. Though RCB bought him ahead of last year's IPL, Padikkalhasn't gotten a game yet.

Padikkal is flexible with his batting position and can be played at numbers three, four and five.
