The World Cup-winning cricketer was accused of making a caste reference with respect to the fellow player during an online live event on Instagram with Rohit Sharma.

The FIR was reportedly lodged by a Hansi-based lawyer and activist named Rajat Kalsan under various sections of the IPC and the SC/ST Act. "Yuvraj Singh was arrested under section 153A and section 505 of the Indian Penal Code," it said.

While this incident surely shocked fans, but this is not the first time, the batter has been part of a big controversy.

One controversy that had shaken everyone was when Yuvraj Singh's sister-in-law and ex-Bigg Boss contestant Akanksha Sharma had accused the all-rounder's family of domestic violence and the cricketer of substance abuse. The Bigg Boss 10 had claimed that Yuvraj also consumed marijuana.

This incident took place after India lost the ICC Champions Trophy final to Pakistan in 2017. Former union minister Ramdas Athawale accused Yuvraj Singh and Team India members like Virat Kohli for allegedly match-fixing.

Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj had accused former India captain MS Dhoni for keeping his son out of Team India's playing XI. However, the batter came out on social media and gave clarification on his relationship with Dhoni.

The former India batter had apparently used a casteist slur against Yuzvendra Chahal and the incident had taken palce in June 2020. Yuvraj had made a derogatory remark, although jokingly, towards Chahal during an Instagram Live session with India opener Rohit Sharma.

Yuvraj Singh was trolled heavily after he had made contributions and helped former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi's NGO in the time of COVID-19.

The reason for trolling was due to the fact that after showing his support, the former Pakistan all-rounder's video of insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi went viral. Yuvraj went on to promise that he would 'never again help his Pakistan counterpart.
