Prior to the Test series against South Africa, Rohit Sharma was in a make-or-break situation about his position in the longest format.
The batsman has been playing white-ball cricket since December 2013, yet he wasn’t able to cement his spot.
However, the series against South Africa has give new hope to the cricketer. From the sixth or seventh spot, the Hitman was made the opener for this series.
The third Test of the series at the JSCA International Complex Ground in currently underway and Rohit is already the leading run-scorer. In fact, he notched his sixth Test century.
He also became the second Indian opener to score three or more centuries in a Test series. Rohit’s knock was carved with 13 fours and four sixes. He also reached the 2000 Test runs mark.
