Former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram before marrying his Australian wife had an alleged love affair with the Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen. Bollywood and Cricket have had a long relationship with each other and the love stories between the two are not new.
And, India and Pakistan also have their connection through the Bollywood celebrities as Wasim Akram's alleged relationship gained a sizeable media traction after they were seen together for the first time and eventually split up.

Sushmita Sen and Wasim Akram met on the sets of a reality show 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena' in 2008 when the two were judging the show. Naturally, the sparks flew between the two.
Wasim was still married to his first wife Huma till then so the sparks just remained that only. But after the latter died in 2009, Sushmita and Wasim came closer.
While both of them didn't comment on their alleged relationship, the duo was spotted many times publicly and made appearances on film screeners. Some reports suggested that they were dating and even considering living in together.
Both Wasim Akram and Sushmita Sen released public statements dismissing the rumours. While Sushmita took to Twitter saying, "Hi guys!Been reading about my upcoming wedding with Wasim...ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!! Goes to show just how irresponsible media can be sumtimes!"
"Wasim Akram is a friend and will always be one!! He has a wonderful lady in his life...rumors like these are uncalled for n disrespectful! My beautiful people..when I find 'THE ONE'...you'll be the first to know:)) benefits of being my twitter family!!;) love u all soooooo much!" she had further added.
On the other hand, Wasim Akram in several news reports was quoted as saying: "I am tired of denying such rumours and now I want this to end once and for all."
Sushmita Sen issued a clarification while speaking to a media portal saying, "I am extremely fond of Wasim. But if I start having an affair with every man I am friends with... Being in a relationship is a big deal and the day I am in one, I will surely tell everyone. I won't keep people guessing."
Wasim Akram, who turned 55 on Thursday, June 3, married Australian Shaniera in 2013.
