Meet TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan, the wife of India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah had left the India side after the third Test and was also not picked for the five-match T20I series, starting March 12.
Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah got married to TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan at a ceremony in Goa on Monday (March 15).
It is to be noted that Bumrah has taken leave from the Indian side after the third Test against England due to personal reasons, however, it came to the knowledge that the bowler asked for some days off as he is getting married.
Speaking to ANI, sources in the BCCI in the know of developments have confirmed that Bumrah is set to get married soon and has taken a leave to prepare for the same. Bumrah was also not picked for the five-match T20I series, starting March 12.
Let's take a look at who is Sanjana Ganesan?
The 28-year-old Sanjana Ganesan is a sports presenter and TV host and had primarily worked on Cricket with Star Sports for the IPL, hosting and presenting various shows.
Sanjana Ganesan made her TV debut with the popular reality show MTV Splitsvilla 7. However, she had to quit the show owing to an injury.
She has also worked with the Premier Badminton League (PBL) as a presenter.
Sanjana Ganesan had a brief modelling career before becoming a sports presenter. She participated in the '2012 Femina Style Diva' fashion show.
In 2013 went on to participate in the Femina Miss India Pune' competition becoming one of the finalists.
In 2012, Sanjana Ganesan also entered and won the 'Femina Officially Gorgeous' Competition.
Next year, in 2013 she appeared in Spiltsvilla season 7 and two years later, joined Star as a sports presenter.
Sanjana Ganesan was the co-host of Star Sports' post-match show Match Point and Cheeky Singles. It was part of the channel's 2019 World Cup coverage.
She also travelled to England bringing stories of fans supporting their respective teams.
Sanjana Ganesan has also hosted the segment Dil Se India for the official broadcaster.
She has also done shows for the Indian Super League (ISL) and hosted the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction.
