Catch all the live cricket action and updates of the second day of the 1st Day Night Test between India and Australia from Adelaide Oval.

Australia's bowlers were in top form on day 2 of the Adelaide Pink Ball Test as they took just 23 minutes to get the remaining four wickets. R Ashwin fell on the third ball of the day while Wriddhiman Saha departed cheaply in the second over of the day. Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami also fell in quick succession. Mitchell Starc ended with four wickets while Pat Cummins finished with three wickets as India were bowled out for 244. Australia will be aiming to build a sizeable lead but it will be very tough against an Indian bowling attack that has quality in the form of Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah.

Latest Updates

  • STUMPS Day 2! India finish on 9-1 with night watchman Jasprit Bumrah and opener Mayank Agarwal in the middle. India now lead by 62 runs after they bowled out Australia 191.

  • WICKET! Prithvi Shaw fails again to the incoming delivery as Pat Cummins draws the first blood. India now 7-1 as the night-watchman Jasprit Bumrah comes in

  • WICKET! Virat Kohli takes the catch and R Ashwin has his fourth wicket as Australia stumble further. Australia are 167/9, Paine is still batting on 57 and they are trailing by 77 runs.

  • The Australia captain has led from the front. He has hit a brisk fifty and Australia's deficit is now less than 100. However, India are still on top and they are still leading by 84 runs. They need to get rid of Tim Paine quickly. Australia are 164/8, trailing by 80 runs

  • WICKETS! Umesh Yadav has taken both Pat Cummins and Marnus Labuschagne. Labuschagne misses his fifty and Australia are in massive trouble. They still trail by over 100 runs. Australia are 123/7.

  • Tea time in Adelaide and India are firmly on top. Marnus Labuschagne is nearing a fifty while R Ashwin has taken three wickets. Australia are 92/5, trailing by 152 runs.

  • WICKET! Ashwin takes his third and it is a brilliant catch from Virat Kohli that ends Cameron Green's knock. Superb stuff from the offspinner. Australia are 79/5, trailing by 165 runs.

  • WICKET! Brilliant bowling by R Ashwin and he takes his second as Australia slide even further. Head falls and there is a massive task in hand for Cameron Green and Marnus Labuschagne. Australia 65/4, still trailing by 179 runs.

  • Marnus Labuschagne has hit boundaries but he has not looked comfortable at all. Steve Smith survives a run-out chance but he has made incredibly slow progress. It has resulted in a big wicket as Ashwin gets rid of the mighty Steve Smith for 1. Australia are 45/3.

  • That is the dinner break and Australia are 35/2. Technically, they should have been 31/3 had Bumrah not dropped Marnus Labuschagne. At the break, Australia have Steve Smith and Labuschagne at the crease and if they fall cheaply, then Australia will have a mountain to climb and might fall well behind in the match.

  • WICKET! Jasprit Bumrah is the Man! He nails a yorker on leg stump and Joe Burns misses the flick to the legside. The umpire gives it out and Australia opt for the review. It is only brushing leg stump but since the original decision was out, Joe Burns has to go. In comes Steve Smith. Australia 29/2.

  • WICKET! India have removed the stubborn partnership as Matthew Wade is trapped in front. He walked across and tried to work a pacy delivery to the leg side but he missed. Australia review and it is umpire's call on hitting the wickets. So, Australia do not lose the review but they lose Wade for 8. Australia 20/1 in the 15th over

  • Joe Burns and Matthew Wade have played out 10 overs and are making very similar progress as that of India. They have not lost a wicket but the scoring rate is just over one run. Australia are 14/0 after 12 overs.

  • Australia have made a solid start, at least as compared to India. Joe Burns and Matthew Wade have started well as Australia are 10/0.

  • WICKET! On day 1, India lost a wicket on the second ball of the match. On day 2, India have lost a wicket on the third ball. Ashwin falls as India sink further. Mitchell Starc then gets rid of Wriddhiman Saha and India don't look like they will get to 300. India 235/8 in the 91st over.

  • Hello and a warm welcome to the match between India vs Australia from the Adelaide Oval. Day 2 of the Pink Ball Test and the game is evenly poised. India had the advantage at 188/3 but a collapse with the new ball has tilted the advantage towards Australia. Virat Kohli's run-out became the ultimate turning point of the match as India would be aiming to put up a score in excess of 300 so that they can have an advantage. However, India's bowlers will be magnificent in these conditions and they will be hoping to come to the party soon.
