A week after scooping out funds worth $1 billion and acquiring a point-of-sale startup, Zomato has now purchased NexTable, a US based restaurant reservations and table-management platform, in a $52 million deal.The terms of the deal have not been disclosed except to note that it is a cash and stock deal and that the team is also coming over with the acquisition, including CEO and founder TC DeSilva and Robert Tyree. The platform will now be renamed Zomato Book, reported The Verge.DeSilva said in a statement that NexTable was excited to partner with Zomato to realize the true potential of what they had built.Pankaj Chaddah, co-founder and COO of Zomato, said that the company will take NexTable's tech to India, UAE and Australia, starting later this year.
