Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) today surged nearly 6 per cent after

the company reported an over six-fold jump in consolidated net

profit for the fourth quarter ended March.

The stock climbed 5.68 per cent to end at Rs 545.35 on

BSE. During the day, it surged 6.55 per cent to Rs 549.90.

On NSE, shares of the company soared 5.53 per cent to

close at Rs 544.75.

On the volume front, 4.62 lakh shares of the company were

traded on BSE and over 76 lakh shares changed hands on NSE

during the day.

ZEEL yesterday reported an over six-fold jump in

consolidated net profit at Rs 1,514 crore for the fourth

quarter to March, aided by the sale of its sports business.

It had registered a net profit of Rs 226.52 crore in

January-March a year ago, ZEEL said in a BSE filing.

Total income during the quarter under review was at Rs

1,582.89 crore, up 1.50 per cent, as against Rs 1,559.38

crore a year earlier.
