At a glittering Zee Business Dare to Dream Awards ceremony on Monday night in Delhi, Union Minister of State for MSME Giriraj Singh urged entrepreneurs to use the latest technology for creating employment, especially in rural areas.

Sharing his vision for start-ups, Singh said, "Focus should be on using technology to create employment in villages. India needs to promote women's participation to boost economy. People should promote social entrepreneurship," Singh said at the Zee Business Dare to Dream Awards that was organised in collaboration with SAP. 

Speaking to Zee Business Online, Union Minister Singh also said that young entrepreneurs should set an example for others to follow. 

"Young entrepreneurs should  empower themselves and set an example for everyone else," he said. 

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Start-up India push, Singh said, "For the first time in India, startups have been given a platform by PM Modi."

"The government is willing to promote indigenous R&D," he added. 

As many as 43 entrepreneuers received Dare to Dream Awards in the national capital on Monday. 

Dare to Dream Awards celebrate the success of home-grown businesses started by visionary entrepreneurs. 

Giving away the awards to the winners at the event in Delhi, MSME Secretary Arun Kumar Panda said the youths today should aspire to be job givers rather than job seekers and highlighted the fact that the Centre has taken numerous initiatives to ensure that success is achieved.
