General Secretary of Maruti Employees Union Kuldeep Janghu was suspended after he allegedly slapped an officer today afternoon.

"He was suspended at around 9:30PM today," a company spokesperson said.

Jhanghu, however, denied that he had slapped an officer.

He claimed that on Saturday an officer Sharad Kumar abused a casual worker Amod Kumar.

"Amod Kumar approached him and afterwards he and Sharad Kumar had a heated exchange of words over the issue", Jhanghu told PTI.
