Dr Garima Sawhney hails from Gurugram and she quit her high-paying job to launch her company Pristyn Care. Dr Garima Sawhney launched Pristyn Care along with her husband Vaibhav and a friend in 2018.
Dr. Garima Sawhney re-launched her company Pristyn Care in a new avatar and the experiment proved to be a huge success. The business model adopted by Garima was to use the vacant space lying idle in the hospitals and treat the patients at those places with the help of their medical infra, doctors and staff. Garima and her team needed money to make their business model successful and they got the funds from Sequoia Capital. Within 3 years of the company's launch, this startup became a unicorn. At present, the valuation of the company is USD 1.4 billion i.e. Rs 11,400 crore.
Dr. Garima Sawhney got the startup idea from her medical business. Established in 2018, Pristyn Care is now present in more than 42 cities and has 1.5 million patients. The company has partnered with more than 800 hospitals while expanding its business.
Pristyn Care wants to achieve revenue of Rs 1000 crore by financial year 2024. In FY22, the company earned a revenue of Rs 350 crore and 60 percent of the company's revenue comes from patient surgery. The average occupancy of operation theaters and beds is 20 percent.
