On paper, the Tata Nano is a great urban car – small outside, big within, tight steering angles and a peppy engine, all making for quite the zippy runabout. But in reality, there was one thing missing – any modern car is rather incomplete without the employment of any kind of power steering system and it is exactly this deficiency that Tata Motors has addressed with the Nano Twist XT. Of course, along with the very light Electric Power Assisted Steering with active return that centres the wheels to the straight-ahead position, the Twist also gets a bit of a visual upgrade for the Nano range.

There’s a hot new colour christened Damson Purple, there are extra mesh grilles on the back and chrome strips both fore and aft. But that isn’t the only thing the Twist brings in for this city slicker – Tata Motors has also added a brilliant music system with all kinds of connectivity built-in that you can think of, a rear parcel tray and a four-speaker setup as well. So is the Tata Nano Twist XT the perfect city car then? Well, now we have even lesser reason to doubt that!
