The online food-delivery app, Swiggy delivered one million orders in the month of April, the company said in a release.

The app has a network of more than 6,300 restaurants across 8 cities in India – Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai.

Swiggy manages an average of 35,500 orders per day and claims growth of 25% every month.

In January, Swiggy raised its Series C funding of $35 million (nearly Rs ​232.8 crore) and had said that it will cross the one million order milestone soon.

Nandan Reddy, Co-founder, Swiggy said, "We are excited to announce this landmark achievement. Clocking one million orders validates the capabilities we have built to offer the best customer experience in food delivery."

He also said that Swiggy is seeing usage from conservative markets such as Chennai and Kolkata over the past few months and significant growth in Mumbai, Pune and NCR.
