Stock Market to remain closed for 7 days this month - check holiday list here

Share market will remain closed on May 15, May 16, May 22, May 23, May 29, and May 30 besides May 13 which is due to Id-Ul-Fitr or Ramzan Eid.

Indian stock markets (BSE and NSE) will remain closed for seven days this month on account of festivals, besides Saturdays and Sundays.

This month share markets will remain closed on only one day due to the festival, the rest due to Saturdays and Sundays.

BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty will remain close on May 13, Thursday on account of Id-Ul-Fitr or Ramzan Eid.

Overall Share Market will remain close for seven days in May. On these Stock Market holidays, trading will not take place. 

The share market will remain closed for the equity segment, equity derivative segment, and SLB segment on May 13 as per the BSE holiday calendar list.

The bourse or the stock market will resume regular business on May 14, Friday, before closing for the weekend.  

Share market will also remain close on May 15, May 16, May 22, May 23, May 29, and May 30.

Share market holidays on these six days are due to weekly holidays of Saturday and Sunday.

As per BSE Trading Holidays 2021 list, the share market will remain closed for 14 days in 2021 due to festivals.

Besides Id-Ul-Fitr, share markets will also remain closed on the occasions of Bakr Id, Muharram, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Diwali Laxmi Pujan, Diwali Balipratipada, and Gurunanak Jayanti in the coming months.

Muhurat Trading shall be held on November 04, 2021 (Diwali - Laxmi Pujan).

The Exchange may alter/change any of the above holidays, for which a separate circular shall be issued in advance.
