Aluminium for delivery in September moved up by Rs 1.75, or 1.33 per cent, to Rs 133.45 per kg in a business turnover of 292 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in August was trading higher by Rs 1.70, or 1.30 per cent, to Rs 132.75 per kg in 1,155 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by participants due to uptick in demand from consuming industries in the spot market mainly led to the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade.
