In a slew of recent departures from the micro-blogging site Twitter that includes the exit of CEO Dick Costolo, now the company's vice president for corporate development and strategy has put in his papers.
Indian origin Rishi Garg announced his resignation on Twitter in a series of tweets, a method which has recently taken to being fashionable. He tweeted:

Garg's profile had him overlook mergers and acquisitions for Twitter. He listed a number of significant acquisitions made during his 13-month stint, which includes Periscope, and also thanked former CEO Dick Costolo for his leadership and expressed his confidence in Twitter's fate under the leadership of its co-founder and new CEO Jack Dorsey.
Garg said that he will now be pursuing "some new projects".
