Kissandhan Agri Financial Services Pvt Ltd provides crop financing against the collateral of warehousing receipts of agri-commodities.

"Kissandhan has disbursed agri loans worth Rs 772.65 crore till January 2017 while the figure was Rs 382.91 crores last year registering a growth of 101.78 per cent," Sohan Lal Commodity Management (SLCM) Group CEO Sandeep Sabharwal said.

Kissandhan has impacted about 1,67,550 farmers in about 3 years of operations, the company said, adding that easy credit for farmers without security releases the agri-community from vicious circle of debt.

Sabharwal said the company is intensifying efforts to help the agri-community maximise its efficiency, productivity and income through innovative products like Kissandhan and Agri Reach.

Kissandhan disbursed Rs 41 crore loan in January, up 86 per cent from the Rs 22.64 crore disbursed in the same month last year. A total of 85 warehouses were used for storing the collateral in January 2017 compared to 52 last year.

SLCM has been handling more than 458 agri commodities. It manages a technology enabled network of more than 1,506 warehouses and 19 cold storages pan India with a total capacity of over 3.88 million tonnes spread over 22.08 million sq ft and throughput of more than 469 million tonnes.
