Siemens Ltd on Friday said it has won an order worth Rs 155 crore from Malaysia-based PSI International for supply of gas-insulated switchgear.

"Siemens Ltd, together with Siemens Malaysia, announced that it has won a crucial order approximately worth Rs 155 crore from Malaysia-based PSI International, one of the largest petrochemical companies of the world and a subsidiary of Petronas," the company said in a statement.

The scope of work for the project involves supply of 420kV gas-insulated switchgear for PSI International's new petrochemical (RAPID) greenfield project, it said.

Siemens is a leading producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies; combined cycle turbines for power generation; and power transmission solutions.

Siemens is a pioneer in infrastructure solutions and automation and software solutions for industry.

At 1324 hours Siemens shares on BSE was trading up 2.40%, or Rs 23.50 at Rs 1,001.40 a piece.
