Sensex ends higher by 86.01 points
The stock markets today witnessed volatile activity and were marginally down during morning trading on alternate bouts of buying and selling, amid soaring global crude oil prices.
MUMBAI: The benchmark Sensex closed higher by 86 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange today on sustained buying by mutual funds in heavy-weighted stocks.
The Sensex touched a high of 10,729.92 points before winding up at 10,695.25, revealing a gain of 86.01 points.
Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty closed higher by 22.75 points at 3150.95, after touching a high of 3160.35 points.
