The Indian rupee gained 13 paise to Rs45.55 against the US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today, supported by a higher opening in the stock market and weakness of the greenback against other Asian currencies.The rupee had gained 4 paise against the US dollar to close at Rs45.68/69 in the previous session on Friday.Dealers said in addition to dollar weakness against other Asian currencies overseas, a higher opening in the stock market supported the rupee sentiment today.The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex shot up by 211.55 points, or 1.19%, to 17,940.16 in opening trade today.
