RPP Infra Projects has reported a 24 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 7.77 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2017.

The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 6.28 crore from ordinary activities after tax in the year-ago quarter, RPP Infra Projects said in a BSE filing.

During the quarter, the company's total income grew 33 per cent to Rs 113.83 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 85.24 crore in the April-June quarter of preceding fiscal.

Its expenses were also higher at Rs 103.52 crore as against Rs 76.46 crore a year ago.

RPP Infra Projects is engaged in development of infrastructure like highways, roads, bridges, civil construction works, irrigation, water supply and power plant projects.

Shares of the company were trading 2.32 per cent down at Rs 244.35 on BSE.
