The sales of both, upto 350cc and above 350cc motorcycles' grew over 30% in the month.
Royal Enfield, owned by Eicher Motors Ltd, sold 53,378 motorcycles in the month of July this year, compared to 40,760 bikes sold in the same period last year. This was a growth of 31% in the month.
In a notification to the BSE, Eicher Motors said its exports grew 40% to 1,250 units from the 893 units exported in the same period last year.
Motorcycles with engine capacity upto 350cc, accounted for 47,651 of the total units sold in the month, up 31% from the 36,434 units sold in the same period last year.
Similarly, bikes with engine capacity above 350cc, accounted for 5,727 units, up 32% from the 4,326 units sold in July 2015.
After the sales data was announced, Eicher Motors' share price was up only 0.11% or up Rs 25.20 at Rs 22,491.00 from previous day's close.
At the time, BSE Sensex was up 0.19% or Rs 53.57 at Rs 28,105.43.
