JioRail app will allow customers to book and cancel tickets by using debit cards, credit cards and e-wallets.
Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio on Monday launched a JioRail app for its users. Now, the owners of JioPhone and JioPhone 2 can book tickets from their phones via the newly launched app.
JioRail app will allow customers to book and cancel tickets by using debit cards, credit cards and e-wallets. Besides, the customers can also check PNR status, train information, timings, routes, seat availability and several other services at a click of a button on their JioPhones.
The app is available on the Jio App Store. It will also allow the Tatkal booking for any last minute travel plans.
To users's delight, if they do not have any IRCTC account, the app also allows them to create an account and then proceed for the required ticket booking.
The app also plans to offer enhanced services like PNR status change alerts, locate train and food ordering in future.
Meanwhile, today is the last day to avail benefits of Reliance Jio's celebration packs. Jio has launched Jio celebration packs for its Jio prime customers. Users can avail an additional daily data benefit of 2GB under the celebration pack. It should be noted that this extra data is being offered on top of what the user usually gets under the prepaid or postpaid subscription.
The validity of Reliance Jio user pack is for five days, i.e from January 24 to January 28. However, this is just the data pack, there won't be any free voice calling under this offer.
Reliance Jio has also introduced two new plans for its prepaid customers. Reliance Jio has launched Rs 594 and Rs 297 plan for its prepaid customers. The new plans has been launched under the 'Jiophone Monsoon Hungama'.
Priced at Rs 594 and Rs 297, both the plans are valid for six and three months respectively.
The validity of Rs 594 and Rs 297 plans are six and three months respectively. Reliance Jio is providing unlimited free voice calling in both the packs.
Reliance Jio is offering 0.5 GB of high-speed per day data and 300 SMSes for 28 days in both the packs. However, after the consumption of daily limit, the speed gets reduced to 64 Kbps. The plan is valid for 84 days.
Complimentary subscription to Jio apps is bundled with both the recharge plans.
