PM Modi to inaugurate 2-day UP Investors’ Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Yogi Adityanath government’s UP Investors’ Summit on Wednesday. Besides President Ram Nath Kovind, country’s top industrialists, business delegates from 20 foreign countries and 200 CEOs, along with almost 1/4th of the Modi Cabinet, will participate in the two-day mega event, convened to woo much-needed investment for development of Uttar Pradesh.

Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Chandra will address the media and entertainment session during the summit.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has rolled out the red carpet to welcome the PM, his Cabinet colleagues, the President and business heads from India and abroad. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari, Suresh Prabhu, Dr Harsh Vardhan, VK Singh, Smriti Irani and Ravi Shankar Prasad are among 18 Union ministers who will chair and attend different sessions at the summit.

Country’s top industrialists including Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Rahul Bajaj are also slated to participate in the summit. As many as 900 memorandum of understandings (MoUs) have already been signed by different companies and business houses with UP government.

Representatives and business delegates from 20 foreign countries including Japan, Czech Republic, Finland, Thailand and Netherlands will be in Lucknow for next two days to explore business opportunities in the state.

The Prime Minister will spend over four hours at the summit on Wednesday. President Ram Nath Kovind will address the valedictory session on Thursday.

For the convenience of business honchos, the Adityanath government will release a booklet on land bank created by the state government for making available lands across state for investors in different sectors. The chief minister will also hold one-o-one interactions with top industrialist and foreign delegates to request them personally for making investment in Uttar Pradesh.

A trilingual Humanoid Robot, specially built for the two-day summit, will welcome all delegates with a rose and chanting ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ in Sanskrit. The robot is also proficient in speaking in Hindi and English. Based on Artificial intelligence, the robot will also keep an eye on the security of all dignitaries attending the summit.
