The petrol and diesel prices across the country stand hiked for the fifth consecutive day on October 31, as the rates across all metropolitan cities have been raised significantly. The fuel rates were stable for two days, after which they have been on a rise for five days.
As per Indian Oil Corporation, the fuel process stand hiked across the major metropolitans by an average of 35 paise. The petrol prices in Delhi now stand at Rs 109.34 per litre while the diesel prices in the national capital stand at Rs 98.07 per litre.
The fuel rates in Mumbai are one of the highest in the country, as petrol has finally crossed the Rs 115 mark in the city. The price of petrol in Mumbai stands at Rs 115.17 per litre while the diesel prices in the city are now Rs 106.23 per litre.

As of today, the petrol prices in Delhi, the national capital, are higher than the price at which aviation turbine fuel (ATF or jet fuel) is sold to airlines, as per reports. The jet fuel stands at a price of Rs 79,020 per kilolitre, which makes it roughly Rs 79 per litre, while the petrol prices in the national capital are now nearing the Rs 110 mark.
