The petrol and diesel prices saw fresh highs on October 22 (Friday) after seeing a 35 paise rise yet again.
Petrol is priced at Rs 106.89 a litre which is a 35 paise hike, while the price of diesel has been hiked by 35 paise as well, reaching Rs 95.62.
In Mumbai, The petrol price stands at Rs 112.78 while the diesel price stands at Rs 103.63.

The petrol prices in most of the states across India have already crossed the Rs 100 mark, while the diesel prices in most states remain just below Rs 100. The states where the diesel prices have crossed the Rs 100 mark are Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh, Bihar, Kerala, Karnataka and Ladakh.
The fuel rates are revised across the country each day and are published at 6 am by oil companies. The prices of the fuel fluctuate due to the cost of crude oil, consumption ratio of refineries and the VAT and taxes imposed on the fuel by the government.
