PE, VC investments more than double to $7bn in March

Boosted by a spurt in large transactions, private equity and venture capital investments rise sharply last month, a report by consultancy firm EY said

$3 bn – venture capital and private equity investments in March 2018

34% – drop in PE/VC exits to $465 mn

$5.4 bn – investments in August 2017

$11.4 bn – investments jump 37% in Jan-Mar 2019 quarter

$2.8 bn – number of buyout deals

$1.9 bn – private investment in public equity investments
