Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), the retail arm of Reliance Industries, achieved remarkable growth in 2024, opening 779 new stores across India—an average of over two stores per day. This expansion brings the total number of Reliance Retail stores to an impressive 19,102, serving 296 million customers last year. These achievements were highlighted in Reliance Industries’ quarterly financial report.
Led by Isha Ambani, daughter of Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, RRVL reported strong financial performance for the third quarter of FY 2024-25. The company posted revenue of Rs 90,333 crore, an 8.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Its EBITDA also rose to Rs 6,828 crore, reflecting robust operational performance, according to reports.
Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani praised the company’s success, stating, “All formats of the retail segment have contributed significantly. Reliance Retail continues to enhance customers’ shopping experiences through its extensive reach and diverse product offerings.”
Isha Ambani attributed the strong performance to festive season sales and a focus on quality and affordability. “Our efforts to offer value have attracted customers to both our physical stores and digital platforms,” she said.
The retail giant saw growth across key categories:
Grocery sales grew by 37% annually.
Consumer Electronics posted a 12% annual increase.
Fashion and Lifestyle brands like AJIO and GAP broke sales records.
Hamleys expanded globally, opening three new stores in Italy.
Additionally, homegrown brands like Campa and Independence are expected to surpass Rs 1,000 crore in revenue this financial year.
