Naresh Goyal owned private air-carrier, Jet Airways, plans to enhance the frequency of its flights to the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, over the next six months, a Jet Airwyas official said. The airline presently operates one daily flight between Chennai and Colombo."We plan to launch a few more services to Colombo from Indian cities over the next six-months," a Jet Airways official told PTI here. Besides, Mumbai and Delhi, the airline is also exploring a few other destinations to launch these services, the official said.There is a huge potential on the sector, which needs to be tapped, the official said, adding," the airline expects a good passenger demand once these services are commenced." Jet Airways is also expected to fly to South Africa shortly, the official said."The dates, however, are yet to be finalised," he said. The airline is awaiting regulatory approval to start its services to Johannesburg.South Africa is hosting the FIFA World Cup, starting from June 11 and Jet Airways wants to tap the business potential during the mega sporting event.
