India's consumer price index (CPI) rose 9.3% in January from a year earlier, slower than December's annual rise of 9.47%, government data showed on Monday. The consumer price index for industrial workers rose 3 points to 188 points in January.   India's wholesale price index, the country's most widely watched inflation gauge as it covers a higher number of products, rose 8.23% in January from a year earlier, compared with 8.43% in December.
