IT firm HCL Infosystems on Thursday said its net loss has narrowed to Rs 41.45 crore in the April-June 2015 quarter from Rs 72.37 crore in the year-ago period.

However, the company's net sales declined to Rs 1,685.50 crore in the said quarter from Rs 1,760.11 crore in the April-June 2014 quarter, HCL Infosystems said in a statement.

The Noida-based firm said its services business has registered 27% year-on-year revenue growth, while consumer distribution business declined 25% Y-o-Y.

"In this financial year, our business model transformation has gained further momentum along our focus businesses of services and distribution," HCL Infosystems Executive Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Premkumar said.

In both these businesses, HCL has achieved robust traction during the year and the trajectory for business growth has been firmly set through improved business alignments, alliances and operational efficiencies, he added.
