The price of gold went up by Rs 3,500 per 100 grams on Saturday, after which the rate of 100-gram 22-carat gold was Rs 4,55,500, according to the Good Returns Website. The metal in the previous trade had closed at Rs 42,200 per 10 grams.

In Delhi, the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 45,550 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, the price of the metal in Mumbai is Rs 45,470. 

It should be noted that prices of gold, as well as silver, vary in each state and across the country due to excise duty, state taxes, and other levies. The prices of gold also vary in different jewellery shops. 

The price of gold in Chennai is Rs 43,920 per 10 gram while in Gujarat's cities Vadodara and Ahmedabad, the rate stood at Rs 45,150 and 44,280, for 10 grams of 22-carat gold, respectively.
