Fuel Prices February 14: Petrol nearing Rs 90 in Delhi, crosses Rs 95 in Mumbai

The petrol prices in the national capital of Delhi saw an increase of 29 paise and rose from Rs 88.44 per litre to Rs 88.73 per litre.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Update: The prices of petrol and diesel continue to rise across the metro cities and the states in India, with the oil marketing companies hiking the fuel prices sixth day in a row. The petrol and diesel prices reached new highs on Sunday (February 14).

The petrol prices in the national capital of Delhi saw an increase of 29 paise and rose from Rs 88.44 per litre to Rs 88.73 per litre. As for the financial capital of Mumbai, the petrol prices crossed the Rs 95 mark and it now costs Rs 95.21 per litre.

Rajasthan witnessed the highest prices of petrol in the country. In the Srigangangar district of the state, the price of petrol neared the century mark. It is at Rs 99.29 per litre.

Here are the petrol prices per litre across the metro cities of the country:

Delhi: Rs 88.73

Mumbai: Rs 95.21

Kolkata: Rs 90.01

Chennai: Rs 90.96

At the same time, the price of diesel soared across the country. In Delhi, the diesel prices increased to Rs 79.06 per litre, while in Mumbai, it reached Rs 86.04 per litre. The diesel prices in Noida and Patna were found to be Rs 79.49 per litre and Rs 84.27 respectively.

Here are the diesel prices per litre across the metro cities:

Delhi: Rs 79.06

Mumbai: Rs 86.04

Kolkata: Rs 82.65

Chennai: Rs 84.16

The fuel prices have seen a constant rise in the country since the starting of the year. In the last six days, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by Rs 1.80 per litre and Rs 1.88 per litre respectively.

The opposition is asking the government to provide some reduction on the tax levied on fuel so that the burden on the common main is reduced.
