Transporters said tight position trucks in the market as compared to increased cargo movements, led to the rise in some of centres freight rates.

Delhi to Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 29,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 31,000.

Rates to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Gwalior also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 56,000, Rs 58,000 and Rs 15,000.
