Speak Asia, a Singapore-based online survey company, suspected to have cheated people of crores of rupees by promising them huge returns in exchange for taking part in its surveys, police said.

The police said once members registered themselves on the site by paying Rs11,000, Speak Asia allowed them to respond to market research. Members also earn reward points for giving opinions on products. “The scam could be in excess of Rs1,320 crore,” said joint commissioner of police (crime) Himanshu Roy.
