Essel Infra said that it added six more lanes at Pithai and Vavadi toll plazas to the already functioning hybrid ETC mechanism at two lanes at both plazas.

“With this step of adopting hybrid ETC system completely at Ahmedabad-Godhra stretch, Essel Ahmedabad Godhra Toll Roads is at the leading edge in implementation of NHAI directive to convert all lanes into hybrid ETC systems as against the existing set up of having just two ETC lanes,” it said.

ETC mechanism at the toll road will considerably cut down on the travelling time between the said cities by providing roadblock-free travel. Already, GST has reduced the plying time by about 20%.
