Recently, Xiaomi landed in a controversy after some Indian cities and states which include Arunachal Pradesh went missing on its weather app. As soon as the issue was spotted smartphone maker was trolled brutally on Twitter.

The company was quick to clarify that the error was due to a technical glitch and has been rectified.

However, the social media users did not take it lightly and slammed Xiaomi for supporting China’s claim over Arunachal Pradesh. Notably, the Chinese foreign ministry had recently said that it does not recognise the Union Territory of Ladakh "illegally established" by India, and the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
