Online tax filing portal ClearTax today said it has set up GST Suvidha Kendras to help SMEs, especially those in tier 2 and 3 cities, to comply with the rules in the new indirect tax regime.
ClearTax aims to have 5,000 GST Suvidha Kendras across India by the end of 2017 and is hiring CAs and tax professionals for this.
Through these Kendras it will help businesses meet the financial reporting and filing return norms under Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime which kicked in from July 1.
Businesses have to file preliminary GST returns for July in form GSTR3B by August 20.
"Our facilities will primarily be located in tier 2 and 3 cities since a vast majority of SMEs operate out of there. Our CAs and tax experts will provide information and guidance through the filing process," ClearTax Founder & CEO Archit Gupta said.
