At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in June advanced by Rs 2.60, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 1,074.70 per kg, in a business turnover of 14 lots.

Likewise, the spice for delivery in May edged up by 10 paise, or 0.01 per cent, to Rs 1,270 per kg in 14 lots.

Analysts said widening of positions by participants due to pick up in domestic as well as exports demand against tight stocks position on restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
