Gupta is also the managing director of Bharti Infratel, the telecoms tower unit of Bharti Airtel.
Bharti Infratel, which has more than 30,000 towers, also holds a 42% stake in a joint-venture tower company Indus Towers, which is the world's top telecoms tower company with more than 1,00,000 towers. Gupta said there are no immediate plans to list Indus Towers.
