The stock jumped 6.54 per cent to end at Rs 165.25 on
BSE. During the day, it gained 7.73 per cent to Rs 167.10.
On NSE, shares of the company went up sharply by 6.7 per
cent to close at Rs 165.40.
In terms of equity volume, 9.06 lakh shares of the
company were traded on BSE and over 87 lakh shares changed
hands on NSE during the day.
Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd today reported 8 per cent
increase in its net profit at Rs 119.78 crore for the quarter
ended June.
Its net profit stood at Rs 110.70 crore in the year-ago
period, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The revenue rose by 37 per cent to Rs 1,136.45 crore
during the first quarter of this fiscal from Rs 826.83 crore
in the corresponding period of the previous year.
